My name is Carolyn and I crochet award winning Navajo afghans. A butterfly was chosen as the symbol for Cover Girls because the lovely transformation of it's existence closely resembles what happens when plain skeins of yarn, caterpillar, are crocheted, spinning a cocoon, into a newly created afghan, butterfly opening its new wings.
